WALDEN'S RIDGE, HAMILTON COUNTY (WRCB) - Hamilton County Public Works crews were still salting secondary roads late Monday.
We caught up with a group on Walden's Ridge. They were salting Hollister Road off Taft Highway. They were pulling a 7am-midnight shift and had tackled all the main roads and were trying to clear less traveled roads to make it safer for drivers. Shaun Farrow says he's been doing this for 3 years, but this project seems to stand out.
Farrow says, "Last year we had a few snows and it was pretty bad, but nothing compares to this cold, not like this the wind, the coldness, it's cold!"
Hamilton County and surrounding Grundy, Marion and Sequatchie Counties are reporting major roads are clear. Crews will only be on standby at this point.
