GPS students look to grant 3 wishes

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- The Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee received a hefty donation thanks to the Girls Preparatory School.

A week long fundraiser, known as Robin Hood Week, was held by elected class representatives with the theme of "making wishes come true".

Students raised $15,100 in an effort to make three wishes come true for Chattanooga area wish children.

The week in October traditionally involves the sales of food and crafts on the school patio as classes work together to raise the most money for community and international charity organizations.

"To know that we were able to bring joy to three children's lives by raising enough money to grant their wishes is truly amazing", said Bronte Goodhue, a senior representative of the Robin Hood planning committee.

The money raised represents proceeds from the club booths and bake sales and goes for the wishes of three young girls in the Chattanooga area who will have their wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee.
