Teen hurt after diving into shallow pool returns to school

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, TN (WRCB) -- Signal Mountain Middle High School Welcomed back a student who suffered a spinal injury during the summer.
Sophomore David Anderson was hurt when he dove from a trampoline into an above-ground pool.
He spent time recovering at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital, before being transferred to hospital in Atlanta.
Tuesday Was his first day back in school. He says it feels amazing.
"See all my friends. See everyone. Back in the routine of where I was before..just to be back in everything," says Anderson.
Anderson was first told he'd be paralyzed from the waist down, but he can now use his hands.
