Update: Crash on I-24 westbound sends two people to hospital
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- A crash I-24 west at the Georgia-Tennessee state line, Monday afternoon, had all lanes blocked for a short period of time.
According to Chattanooga Police a Chevy S-0 pickup, driven by Sandy Seale, age 34, was traveling west on 24 when it left the roadway. The pickup then overcorrected to return to the roadway and struck a Plymouth Breeze, driven by James E. Reed of South Pittsburg. The pickup then veered again, struck an embankment and flipped onto its side.
Passenger, Travis Seale, age 18, got out of the truck, but Ms. Seale had to be extricated. The interstate was closed down temporarily to allow Life Force to land and transport Ms. Seale to Erlanger. Both Sandy Seale and Travis Seale are listed in critical condition but are expected to survive.
Both the driver and the passenger are listed in critical condition but are expected to survive. Minor damage to Plymouth Breeze and no injuries to driver.
No word on if charges will be filed.
