CHATTANOOGA/RED BANK (WRCB) - Chattanooga mother comes face to face with a burglary suspect when he allegedly kicks in her door.

Stefani Casteel says it was broad daylight when this man tried to come busting through her door.  Casteel had no idea as he fled from her driveway that police had been looking for Kevin Barnes.  He's charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism.

Casteel adds, "He goes back to the door and knocks on it twice and then stops, maybe he's gonna, then he kicks an hole in the door and I start screaming."

Red Bank investigators say Barnes confessed to three burglaries around the city.  Police say he would hit the homes in broad daylight, stealing big screen TVs, jewelry, cash and more.

The stolen merchandise adds up to almost 30 thousand dollars.  Investigators say it's likely they will tie Barnes to additional burglaries in more jurisdictions.
