UPDATE: Walker Co escape and wife turn selves in
WALKER COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -- An inmate, David Eugene Hart, who walked away from a work detail, turned himself in to Walker County authorities Wednesday night at 7:55 PM.
Hart will be charged with one count Felony Escape.
Hart's wife, Jessica Nicole Hart, also turned herself in and will be charged with one count Felony Aiding Escape.
Both David and Jessica Hart will be held at the Walker County Detention Facility.
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – A Ringgold woman has been arrested in connection with an escape inmate from Walker County.
Tamara Elster, 41, was arrested at her place of employment Wednesday by Chattanooga Police and Walker County deputies.
Elster is charged with felony aiding escape in the escape of David Hart from a work crew in Chickamauga.
Elster loaned her 2007 Mercedes SUV to Hart's wife, Jessica Hart. Mrs. Hart used the vehicle to pick up David Hart.
Officials are still searching for Jessica Hart and David Hart. The vehicle they are driving in is described as a silver 2007 Mercedes ML 320 SUV, Georgia plates AVR 7965.

WALKER COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -- The Walker County Sheriff's Office is searching for an inmate who left his work detail Wednesday morning about 10:50 AM.
The inmate, 29 year old David Eugene Hart, was assigned to an inmate work detail at the Walker County Schools Science and Technology Center. No students were present at the school, which is undergoing renovations.
Inmate Hart was picked up by his wife, 21 year old Jessica Nicole Hart, on or near Wood Station Elementary school at 409 Pond Spring Road, Chickamauga, Georgia.
Mrs. Hart was driving a 2007 Mercedes ML 320 SUV, silver color, bearing Georgia tag #AVR 7965.
Inmate Hart was serving a 20 year sentence for a drug conviction.
