Georgetown hands Lady Vols first loss

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Sugar Rodgers scored 28 points to lead No. 12 Georgetown to a 69-58 victory over No. 4 Tennessee on Saturday in the Paradise Jam.

Monica McNutt added 13 for the Hoyas (5-1), who opened the game on an 11-4 run and never trailed. Rodgers and McNutt combined for nine 3-pointers for Georgetown, which won the tournament's Reef Division.

Glory Johnson scored 13 points, while Meighan Simmons added 11 to lead the Lady Vols (6-1). McNutt's third 3-pointer opened a 26-15 lead for the Hoyas.

Tennessee had 29 turnovers.
