CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- If you were out in the long lines at retail stores, chances are, you may have seen a few folks looking for a good meal as well.

Many fast-food restaurants opened earlier to help feed the Black Friday crowd.

While some fed their hunger to shop on Black Friday, others fought back against hunger.

Chick-fil-a on Gunbarrel Road opened early to help shoppers beat stomach pains.

Some waited in long lines for holiday gifts, others waited in long lines for chicken biscuits.

Chick-fil-a opened its drive through at 2:00 am and management says it paid off.

The line was wrapped around this Gunbarrel Road store before eager shoppers hit the retail shops.

"It was like that all morning. That back parking lot. There's just no where to park," says Marketing Director Amber Busby.

And it only seems to draw more customers in.

By 7:00 am, the store was still full of post early morning shoppers.

Busby says it's a shock so many people come out every year.

"It is amazing to see how many people come out and do their shopping, ya know? I have never been able to do that," says Busby.

Amongst the crowd of eager workers, many of them say they are operating off just a few hours of sleep in anticipation of Black Friday.

Chick-fil-a does this every year and says it continues to become more popular.
