Mayor reveals new details on "Project Infinity"

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - While officials are still not naming names, we're learning more about the proposed project dubbed "Project Infinity".

This afternoon Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield asked the city council members to consider a tax break for the proposed development.

In the meeting, Littlefield did reveal some new information about the development that could be built at the Enterprise South Industrial Park.

"Project Infinity" is expected to be a $101 million initial investment. The project could also bring as many as 1,250 jobs averaging about $32,000 per year.

City and county officials insist an official reveal could come as early as this week.

There is also a Bradley County development dubbed "Project Infinity".

It's still not clear whether this development is in competition with the Hamilton County project, or in conjunction with its neighbor site.

We'll have more on the developments from city council on Eyewitness News tonight starting at 5:00 p.m.
