CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The Chattanooga Bicentennial Library could be getting into the match making business.

They set the stage for a little literary speed dating Monday night.  Participants were encouraged to bring something they've read, a book they love or loathe.  Organizers say it's a great jumping off point and a good way to break the ice for folks who love to read.

Some speed daters say this was a first for them, but it seems to be a preferred dating method to some.

Trina Bell says, "It's very hard, Internet dating especially, you get people who are pretending to be something they're not, you get a lotta no shows."

John Kirby says, "I figured it might be fun, Mondays are a bit slow."

And it was a little slow for this group, for the seven women, there were only two men.  Organizers say they're  hoping this novella will be a best seller and they'll have more interest next time around.
