CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- The historic Delta Queen riverboat is up for sale.
Although it's now a floating hotel docked in Chattanooga, some are hoping it will travel once again.
The 84 year-old Delta Queen has been docked in Chattanooga offering overnight accommodations, but not cruising the Tennessee River.
Its owner, Seattle based cruise operator Ambassador's International, decided to solicit bids after receiving several inquiries.
The deadline was Friday.
One of the bidders is "Save the Delta Queen 2010 Coalition".
The group wants to put the boat back into operation, carrying passengers on the Mississippi, Ohio, Missouri and Arkansas rivers.
Four people were killed and four others injured in a mass shooting at a Waffle House in Antioch early Sunday. The suspect is still on the run.
