LIVELINES: EATING DISORDERS

  A lot of young people, many of whom are not overweight in the first place, want to be thinner.
  They often try to lose weight by dieting or skipping  meals.
  Eating disorders can destroy the unity of a family and help is needed when mental health issues and growing up clash.
   Our guest this morning was Counselor Amber Martin from The Center For Eating Disorders at Focus Healthcare of Tennessee.

Signs of eating disorders
1. Unusual weight changes
2. Periods irregular or stopping
3. Exercising excessively
4. Going to bathroom after meals
5. Becoming preoccupied with food
