CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Eight students have been arrested at Howard High School.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, a fight between two girls broke out in the cafeteria before school.

When a teacher attempted to break up the fight, a male student reportedly pulled the teacher away so the fight could continue.

At the same time, unrelated to the first fight, as second fight involving four girls and a male student occurred in the lobby of the cafeteria.

Deputies say the second fight was not related to the first.

All eight students were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
