SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (WRCB) -- Kevin Orr said earlier this season he'd be dumb not to give the ball to Cedric Edwards as much as possible. So last Friday, with Soddy-Daisy's playoff hopes possibly hanging in the balance, who do you think Orr called upon to carry the load?
The junior tailback broke loose for 312 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Trojans to a crucial 42-21 victory over visiting Cleveland. The victory locked up a playoff spot for Soddy-Daisy, and Friday Night Football Subway Player of the Week honors for Edwards.
The outburst boosted Edwards' season total to 1,782 yards and 17 scores.
