CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Eyewitness News has learned of a shooting on Dodds Avenue.

The incident happened around 12:20 PM at the Kankus Express.

Officers on the scene tell Channel 3 that one man was shot in the arm during an altercation in the parking lot.

The victim, 28-year-old Darrell Holiday, left the scene and was driven to Parkridge Hospital.

According to Investigators, Holiday was uncooperative and stated that he wasn't sure how the shooting occurred or who the suspect was.

Surveillance cameras at the convenience store captured the incident and show Holiday approach a party from behind, then moments later, get shot.

Holiday clearly looks at the suspect then walks into the store where he asks the clerk to call 911.  Holiday then gets into a vehicle and travels North on Dodds Avenue, along with the suspect vehicle.

Darrell Holiday suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm, which penetrated his chest cavity, but did not damage any internal organs.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Holiday continued to give inconsistent and false statements to investigators during the course of the investigation and could face charges of filing a false police report.
