CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Many residents across the Tennessee Valley are without power due to high winds and debris from trees.

According to North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation, nearly 1,200 people are without power off Cleveland Highway north of Dalton.

Of the 1,200, 100 in Ringgold off Stap Drive have no power.

The Electric Power Board says 300 businesses and homes are without power in the downtown Chattanooga and Missionary Ridge areas. Two of the 300 are in Red Bank.

EPB is keeping 51 dayside crews on the clock until power is restored.

The Volunteer Electric Cooperative says several thousand of their customers are without power in the Cleveland, Georgetown, Athens, Decatur, and Benton areas.

    Tuesday, November 21 2017 4:11 AM EST2017-11-21 09:11:10 GMT

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has tested 16 new booster seats for 2017, all but 3 have earned the agency's highest rating of "best bet."

The "best bet" rating means a booster provides a good safety belt fit for a typical 4 to 8 year old child in almost any car, minivan or SUV.
