CALHOUN, Ga. (WRCB) -- It was the biggest night for Dade County football in more than a decade, but Dustin Christian stole the spotlight to earn Friday Night Football Subway Player of the Week honors.

The Calhoun running back broke loose for 190 yards and three touchdowns to help the Yellow Jackets win the battle of Region 7-AA (B) unbeatens 43-8. He averaged more than 10 yards per carry against a Wolverine defense that had recorded five shutouts in its first seven games this season.

Christian's effort, which included a stunning something-out-of-nothing 27-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, helped Calhoun lock up the region championship with its 20th straight win over Dade County.

Other standout performances from Week 9 were:

-- Baylor's Jacobr Huesman rushed for 98 yards, threw for 145 yards, and totaled four touchdowns in the Red Raiders 41-29 loss to Ensworth

-- Copper Basin's Eric Sisson rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns and threw for three more scores in the Cougars' 63-7 win at Lookout Valley

-- Chattanooga Christian's Beau Simmons, who ranks as one of the state's leading receivers, caught six passes for 155 yards and a score, and added a 90-yard kickoff return TD, a two-point conversion, and four extra points for the Chargers in a 52-20 win at Whitwell

-- Polk County's Jared Allen threw two touchdowns, ran for another, and added a 68-yard interception return for a score in the Wildcats' 42-7 rout of South Pittsburg

-- Soddy-Daisy's Cedric Edwards rushed for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the Trojans 21-12 loss at Rhea County

-- Sequatchie County's Justin Stewart rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns in the Indians' 41-6 win over Meigs County

-- Heritage's Jake Sampson threw three touchdowns to lead a fourth-quarter rally that gave the Generals a 26-13 come-from-behind victory over Southeast Whitfield
