Two men found guilty of tying man to tree

BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- Two men charged with abducting a Chattanooga man last year and bringing him to Bradley County were found guilty during a trial in U.S. District Court this week.

Abraham Augustin of Cleveland and Lorrance Dais, of Clemmons, NC, were arrested after Police found the victim, who was bound to a tree in a wooded area near I-75. The victim was found unharmed. The incident occurred in December 2009.

The jury returned verdicts, Wednesday, finding Augustin guilty of kidnapping, use of a firearm in furtherance of kidnapping, a felon in possession of a firearm, conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of attempted murder and obstruction of justice.

Dais was found guilty of kidnapping, use of a firearm in furtherance of kidnapping and a felon in possession of a firearm.

Both men are in custody awaiting sentencing by Judge Collier on March 10, 2011 where they could receive prison terms of 30 years to life.
