DALTON, Ga. (WRCB) -- Tre Beck set a school record for rushing yards with 10 minutes to play in the second quarter, but Dalton's junior running back was far from finished.

Beck rushed for 315 yards and four touchdowns to carry the Catamounts to a much-needed 42-10 win over the Ringgold in the Friday Night Football Game of the Week.

Beck's big night broke Torrey Love's old record of 240 yards before the break and provided the majority of Dalton's 543 yards of total offense, 439 of which came on the ground.

Eric Banks stole the spotlight briefly with a 77-yard touchdown run, which was 15 yards longer than Beck's best tote.

Dalton's defense allowed just three points in the first half, and held a high-powered Tiger offense to just 222 total yards. Josh Moore completed 13-of-24 passes for 140 yards, but struggled to move the ball after a costly pick in the end zone on Ringgold's opening possession.

The win pulls the Catamounts even with the Tigers in the standings, with both teams sitting at 5-2 overall and 2-1 in region play.

Ringgold will play host to region-leader Ridgeland (6-1, 3-0) next Friday night after the Panthers blasted Southeast Whitfield 66-38 on Friday. Dalton will play LaFayette (4-3, 2-1), who beat Heritage 19-14.
