History comes to life on the TN River

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- You can step back into history on the Tennessee River.
Replicas of the ships Christopher Columbus sailed are docked downtown, at the city pier.
The Nina is an exact replica, build by hand with no power tools and is considered the most historically-correct Columbus ship ever built. In fact, it was used in the movie "1492" starring Gerard Ddepardieu.
The Pinta was built a little larger to accommodate day sails.
Both ships will be in port through November 2nd. The public can take a self-guided tour of them from 9am to 6pm daily.
Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for students.
