CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police say Orchard Knob residents called them Wednesday, concerned about a possible organized fight outside Carver Recreation Center. Officers guarded the parking lot of the Carver Center as a deterrent.
When officers left the area due to calls for service, the crowd gathered and a one-on-one fight began. Police say the crowd gathered for a fight between two men with an ongoing disagreement, several other people joined in the fight.
When they left, a fight broke out and one person suffered a broken jaw.
But police say he willingly participated in the fight, and won't be charged. It is not clear if the fight was gang related.
