CHATTSWORTH, MURRAY COUNTY (WRCB) – Forty-Three-year-old Thu Van Nguyen was arrested in Chatsworth Friday. He's accused of molesting two children at his house and the nail salon he owns.

Nguyen is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy and child molestation.

Eyewitness News spoke with his wife, who says her husband would never do something like this.

"I'm a 100% he don't do that. You know my husband, I know he don't do that," says Thay Tran wife of Nguyen.

Owner of T&T Nails, Tran wants to make it clear her husband is, in fact, innocent.

She says her relatives were going through a divorce last year and from time to time she would take care of their two children.

Tran says her husband was always working at the salon and she didn't leave them alone.  She says he thought of them as their own children.

"Did the children ever come here at the salon?" asks reporter Fatima Rahmatullah.

"No, they come in here my shop in with their daddy. They come sometimes," says Tran.

The Nguyens' neighbor, Robert Stanley says the family kept to themselves.  Occasionally, he says his seven-year-old daughter would play with children when they visited.

"Knowing that she would go over in their yard and play and stuff like that makes you think. Nowadays you can't really tell about anybody," says Stanley.

Nguyen is accused of performing oral sex on the two girls and having sexual intercourse.

Stanley says if these charges are true, next time he will try harder to get to know his neighbors.

"Them living right next door it really upsets me because I should have gotten to know them a little bit better," says Stanley.

Investigators say both victims are under the age of 16.  Nguyen was denied bond during his first court appearance.  He may face a Murray County Judge Wednesday.
