UGA leading running back jailed
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Two days after the big win over Tennessee, Georgia junior tailback Caleb King is being held in Athens-Clarke County jail. According to published reports, King is being held for skipping court on August 6 to answer for a speeding ticket.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Hilda Sorrow, a spokeswoman for Athens-Clarke County police said King was arrested Athens and was being held for authorities in neighboring Walton County. Sorrow had no details on the charges from Walton County.
King was booked at 5:08 a.m. Monday.
He is the leading rusher for the struggling Bulldogs, which have had 25 arrests since 2008.
