Downtown River Rocks Festival continues

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- The River Rocks Festival is still underway.

The 10 day celebration of Chattanooga's outdoor lifestyle brought families out to Ross' Landing Saturday.

Lawn chairs lined the stage as people listened to music and enjoyed the talent.

This year everything is offered from rowing to rock climbing.

Friday night there was the Wacky Paddlers Olympics.

People rode their kayaks down a big air ramp.

There was also canoe jousting.

Some say Chattanooga is the best place to have an event like this.

"Chattanooga offers a lot of fun stuff, so it is a great day to bring the kids out and the weather is great. It is perfect today," says Brooke Evans.

Some of the fun goes to a good cause, too.

Organizer say the goal is to put 50 cents of every dollar into non-profits right here in the Tennessee Valley.

River Rocks continues until next Sunday with events all over the county.
