Tennessee to issue refunds on 'Crack Tax'
NASHVILLE (WRCB) – Nearly three thousand people who paid tennessee's "Crack Tax" could be in for a refund.
The tax was placed on people caught with illegal drugs.
But last year, the Tennessee Supreme Court struck down the law.
The Department of Revenue has already refunded $3.7 million to 161 people.
They say more than 2,700 others who paid the tax have not received refunds.
