CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga Police are looking for a man who escaped police custody Sunday night after being arrested for robbery.

According to police, 21-year-old Terrell Harper was spotted by police while robbing an Hispanic man at the First Tennessee ATM on East 23rd Street.

The victim told police that Harper had robbed him of cash and then forced him to withdraw another $200 from his account.

Harper attempted to flee the scene on a bike, but was captured by police.

He was taken to the Police Services Center on Amnicola Highway and interviewed by a Property Crimes investigator.

After the interview, Harper was placed in the hallway, handcuffed and monitored by the arresting officer.

While the arresting officer stepped in to the investigator's question for paperwork completion, Harper ran from the building while still in handcuffs.

A lengthy search was conducted by the Chattanooga Police Department, including K-9, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Terrell Harper was not found.

Warrants for Robbery and Escape have been obtained.
