RED BANK, HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- A whopper of a drug arrest has Red Bank Detectives busy working to find the source.

What started as a typical traffic stop Saturday morning, ended when Red Bank Police arrested a man.

Police say Julio Rios-Gonzalez caught their attention with a dim tail light on his SUV. Officers say when they called in the stop, the tag on his car came back as stolen.  Officers collected from his car an assault rifle, a 9 mm handgun and a stout stash of methamphetamine called "ice".

"We're talking about 220 grams and a street value of 20 thousand dollars," says Dan Knight, Interim Chief of Red Bank Police.

"Today I call, he no answer his phone," says Lidia Gonzalez, the suspect's mother.

Gonzalez says it's been a month since she's seen her son and she had no idea he was in jail. The 26 year old was in court today, a Judge bound his case over to the grand jury. Immigration has a hold on Gonzalez, so even if he could post bail, he would be stuck in jail.
