CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - A convicted cop-killer will not receive a new trial.

Isaac Jones was convicted of the 2002 murder of Officer Julie Jacks.

He's serving a 25-year sentence, but now he says he had bad representation at trial.

In court Wednesday, Jones claimed his attorneys never asked him if he wanted to testify.

Special Judge John Kerry Blackwood ruled Jones' testimony would not have changed the outcome.

Jones faced the death penalty, but the jury found him guilty of the lesser charge of second degree murder.
