Police need help locating home invasion suspect

By WRCB Staff

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police responded to 7100 Lisa Gaye Lane, Monday, on a residential robbery.

The resident told police that he was in his back yard watering his plants when he was approached by a masked gunman. The gunman ordered him into the house where the suspect took $100 from a wallet along with jewelry and expired credit cards.

When the suspect thought that the resident was withholding other valuables, the suspect threatened to shoot. The resident asked the suspect not to shoot him because he had a son with cancer that he needed to take care of.

After rummaging through the house, the suspect took the resident to a downstairs bathroom and made him get on the floor. The suspect then fled the home to an awaiting accomplice but not before wishing the resident' son a healthy recovery.

Police have been working on suspect leads. So far, no arrests have been made in the case. The suspect was described as a black male between 18 and 22 years old, about 5'11, 150lbs, wearing a grey ski mask, red shirt and khaki pants.

If you have any information on this suspect, you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 698-3333.
