By David Carroll
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)- The unsung heroes of many Tennessee schools, the social workers will come together in Chattanooga later this month at their annual state conference.
The Tennessee Association of School Social Workers annual conference will be held at the Chattanoogan hotel and conference center September 22-24. Hamilton County Schools have at least 15 school social workers who will be participating and planning the conference.
Often social workers and social service providers work with and advocate for the poor and disadvantaged populations. They work tirelessly on a daily basis to help individuals and families forgotten by most people. The conference will be open to all school social workers and social service providers across the state of Tennessee.
