UPDATE: Robbery on S. Willow Street

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga Police are on the scene of a robbery at 1511 South Willows Street in where a Hispanic male was severely beaten by two suspects.

Around 4 PM Saturday police received a call of a possible shooting on Willow Street and responded to the area but were unable to locate the victim due to incorrect address information.

After a few minutes, the victim was located in his front yard at 1511 South Willow Street suffering from a broken nose, and multiple bruises and abrasions.

Napoleon Hernandez advised police that he was approached by two black males and asked for money. When he said he didn't have any, they began assaulting him subsequently hitting him several times in the face. The two suspects then took $40 and his cell phone and fled the scene.

While on-scene, police located Hernandez's cell phone in the front yard but continued to have problems understanding Mr. Hernandez.

Police are still trying to gather more information on the incident but have been less than successful in getting full suspect details.

Mr. Hernandez did advise that the suspects are black males wearing brown and black clothing.

The investigation will continue.
