FLINTSTONE, WALKER COUNTY (WRCB) – A snake has escaped from a classroom at a Walker County, Georgia school.

But, school leaders at Chattanooga Valley Middle School say it's nothing to worry about.

Administrators noticed the five-foot, rat snake missing Tuesday morning.

Its habitat was in the science classroom.

The school's principal tells Channel 3 he believes the snake has gone into the woods.

School is continuing as normal.

The rat snake is known to live in the area.

Leaders say it is not venomous.
