Police investigate early morning shooting
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Police are investigating an early morning shooting.
According to officers, Darius Sneed was shot while walking with a friend down 38th Street around 4:00 a.m.
Police say a gray Ford Taurus pulled in front of Sneed and his friend. When Sneed approached the vehicle, officers say Sneed spotted a chrome .38 in the drivers lap.
Sneed told his friend to run, but that's when police say he was shot in the hand.
Sneed was treated and released from Erlanger Medical Center.
The driver is described as a chubby, black male approximately 5'5". He was last seen wearing a ball cap with an "A" on the front. He car is described as a newer model gray Ford Taurus.
