Parking lot crash at Calhoun outlet mall

CALHOUN, GORDON COUNTY, GA. (WRCB)-- An accident involving at least five cars occurred in the parking lot of Prime Outlets in Calhoun at around 4:30 Saturday evening.

According to the manager of the VF Outlet store Amy Morrison, a man driving a Honda Odyssey van feel asleep behind the wheel and hit the accelerator in the process.

He hit at least four other cars, three of which were from out of state.

Morrison says she sent an employee to get her a drink at the Java Junction when she learned of the accident.

The driver of the van was transported to an area hospital. Morrison believes there was also a young boy in the backseat of the van.

None of the cars struck the building and no pedestrians were injured.

Calhoun Police responded to the crash.
