DADE COUNTY (WRCB)-- A Dade County safety supply store caught fire early Sunday morning.

The Dade County Sheriff's Office along with the Trenton and New Salem Fire Departments responded to the scene at around 5AM. The South Dade Volunteer Fire Department also assisted.

Spill Response Technologies and Safety (SRT Safety), located at 4310 Highway 11, was owned by Roger Woodyard. The company offered safety training services as well as first aid supplies and a response team for hazardous environmental waste spills.

The Rising Fawn Hardware Store, located next to SRT Safety, wasn't affected by the blaze and is also owned by Woodyard.

The building is considered a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
