Bill Haslam visits Chattanooga

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Knoxville's mayor made a stop in Chattanooga Saturday campaigning for votes in the governor's race.

Bill Haslam mingled at Camp Jordan encouraging folks to get out and vote.

With just two weeks left before the primary election, Haslam says despite the heat he plans to go door to door.

"It will be hot, but we've done it in 22 degree weather and we'll do it in 100 degree weather. It's a great way to meet folks and make certain they tell us what is on their mind and tell them why I am running for governor," says Mayor Haslam.

Haslam's opponents for the GOP nomination are Congressman Zach Wamp and State Senate-Speaker Ron Ramsey.

The primary election is set for August 5th.

Early voting concludes at the end of the month.
