Bradley County man charged with second degree murder

BRADLEY COUNTY-- Bradley County Sheriff's deputies have charged Donald E. Hallmark in their investigation of a shots fired call to his residence at 2312 3rd Street.

Hallmark was indicted in a recent session of the Bradley County Grand Jury for attempted second degree murder in the wounding of his son, Richard Lee, who deputies found on the dining room floor of the residence with gunshot wounds.

Hallmark was standing near the driveway with a shotgun and pistol in his possession when patrol deputies responded to the call on March 23rd.  

A thorough investigation of the shooting was conducted by the criminal investigations division before the case was presented to the Grand Jury.

Hallmark, who is 65 years old, was released from the Bradley County jail on $50,000 bond shortly after being arrested on Tuesday.
