BRADLEY COUNTY (WRCB)-- Nancy's House, an agency that has served much of the southeast Tennessee region over the last 15 years, is closing due to lack of funding.

The agency says it had a hard time bouncing back from funding cuts back in December 2010. Also, their efforts to appeal the funding decision and merge with a Chattanooga-based agency were unsuccessful.

Nancy's House was an agency that focused on HIV awareness. They offered free testing, community education and prevention, and church youth group presentations.

The center provided food and toiletry for those in need, case management and support groups, transportation to medical appointments, financial support for medications and living expenses to 62 clients in Bradley, Polk, Meigs, and McMinn Counties.
