Atlanta, GA -- The Florida Marlins may have snapped the Braves three game win streak on Sunday, but it didn't take away from the good news Bobby Cox learned on the fourth of July. Atlanta is sending 5 players to the All-Star game in Anaheim, CA on July 13.
Jason Heyward leads the way with the most votes. He became the second youngest player in baseball to ever make an All-Star roster. Heyward is currently on the disabled list, but said on Sunday that he may play in the game.
Also making their first trip to the Mid-Summer Classic: Martin Prado, and Omar Infante. Prado who leads the league batting .336 will start at second base for the injured Chase Utley. Infante was a late add, and will be used as a utility player.
Starting pitcher Tim Hudson will join the crew in his 3rd All-Star Game appearance.
