LIVELINES: FERTILITY ISSUES
Today you will find more women in corporate America, but the decision to get their education and pursue a career can be costly.
As more women wait to have children, they find themselves turning to fertility clinics for help.
Dr. Rink Murray was our guest this morning.
He said that egg freezing or egg banking is the latest trend that allows women to store their eggs until later, giving them a much better chance of conceiving later in life.
Dr. Murray says this is a good option for a woman who may have to go through chemotherapy and may not be able to conceive after the procedure.
Keep in mind retrieving the eggs will cost about 10-thousand dollars, storing them about $500.00, and then the final procedure about 10,000, so it can be costly.
