Painters Union protests outside Alstom

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- A quiet protest Friday morning at a Chattanooga company that says it will create hundreds of jobs in the Tennessee Valley.
A group from the local painters union says Alstom is using a contractor from Atlanta, called DACA.
They claim DACA underbids local companies, then hires out of state workers, and they say that's cheating our entire community.
"We all need jobs and right now the economy is so bad, if we don't support our local people then who will," says Kara Stephens with the Painters Union.
The group has made similar claims against Volkswagen.
They say they just want to raise awareness about what's going on and they want to encourage businesses to support the local economy.
