EAST RIDGE (WRCB) -- The parents of Tonya Craft speak out about their daughters trial.

Tony and Betty Faires have stood by their daughter from day one in the case. The two say it will cost more than $500,000 in legal fees.

Tonya's mother Betty was considered a potential witness in the case so she sat outside the courtroom for more than four weeks of testimony. But Tonya's father, Tony, sat in the courthouse every day listening to every word.

Throughout the trial Tonya's parents did not stay in their East Ridge home.  The house turned into a legal office with a fax machine in the kitchen and loads of paperwork mounted on the fireplace.

Betty Faires heard from Tonya around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, a couple hours before her exclusive appearance on NBC's TODAY Show. Betty Faries took five weeks off from work. She plans to start back soon.
