Channel 3 pushes for answers day after trial

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The winning side of the Tonya Craft trial woke up in New York, NY on Wednesday morning for an exclusive appearance in Studio 1A at the TODAY Show. The prosecution team has decided to not make any comments today.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News spoke with Judge Brian House first thing Wednesday morning. He did not want to answer our questions on camera but did tell us that his "rulings were fair" and the allegations from the defense team about misconduct are "outlandish."

Judge House has ordered the jury list be sealed and kept from the media and public.

We wanted to talk to District Attorney Buzz Franklin, an elected official, who never showed up for the high-profile Tonya Craft trial. He declined to comment on the case today. He also would not answer our questions about a possible FBI investigation into the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit.

Our crew also tried to interview the main prosecutors in the case, Assistant District Attorney Chris Arnt and Assistant District Attorney Len Gregor. Art told us "no comment. Gregor is taking an unspecified amount of "time off."

It appears this story will remain in the national spotlight for some time. Inside Edition plans a report Wednesday night that airs on Channel 3 at 7:30 p.m. Dateline NBC is working on an hour-long special that will air at a future date on Channel 3.
