RED BANK (WRCB) -- It's the first time we hear the shocking testimony from Jewel Berg since she was robbed and viciously beaten by four suspects posing as US Census workers.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News was in the courtroom Monday when she says a man and three women approached her while she was in the garage.

When she turned her back, one of them grabbed her.

She says she put up a fight, but another suspect pushed her to the ground. That's when she and her boyfriend were bound with zip ties, gagged with and extension cord, and beaten.

While being attacked, the other suspects were taking what they could.

Police say the fake workers had been to the house before. One suspect is Berg's cousin.

This case has been bound over to a grand jury, which will decide whether enough evidence exists to send the case to trial.
