Soddy Daisy High School Coach Charged With DUI

Posted: Updated:

A Soddy Daisy High School teacher has been arrested and charged with DUI.  Joshua Roberts was involved in a single car crash early Sunday morning on Hixson Pike.

An arrest report shows he performed poorly on the field sobriety test and the officer charged him with DUI.

Roberts has been an assistant football coach at Soddy Daisy High for three years. He teaches social studies.

Linda Wilson has two children at Soddy Daisy High.  She says, "He's supposed to be a model figure for students."

Barry Grant of Mobray Mountain says, "There wasn't no kids effected by it, he's only human."

Roberts' job status will remain the same while administrators evaluate the situation.
