RED BANK, TN (WRCB) -- Latisha Halfacre lies on her couch sedated after three men kicked in her door and shot her Thursday night.

It happened just before 10:00 p.m. off Goodson Avenue in Red Bank. The bullet hit her in the leg, and the thieves made off with her purse.

Her mother was shocked when she got the phone call from her youngest daughter.

Brittany Russell was sleep in her bed when the shooting happened. All she heard was noise and immediately jumped under the bed after the gun went off.

That's when she found her older sister bleeding on the couch. She even showed Channel 3 where the bullet went through a cushion.

An ambulance was called and she was rushed to Erlanger.

Police say the shooter may have known Halfacre and the incident may have stemmed from a past relationship.

Right now they are searching for the three men.

Now this family is on high alert for their own safety and the youngest, Brittany, says she is thankful her sister made it out alive.

Red Bank police need your help finding these suspects.

They were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts and may be in a dark colored pick up truck.

They are also armed with a 9 millimeter handgun.
