Police make arrest in bus stop assault

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police arrested a 16-yr-old boy Monday morning for assaulting two brothers; six and eight at a  bus stop.

Police were called to 2700 E 34th Street at 8 AM on an assault report where they were informed by a school bus driver that the two younger boys were assaulted by the 16-year-old while waiting for the bus. Both bothers showed visible signs of bruising in the face, elbow and around the neck where one of them had been choked.

 Parents of all the children were called to the scene. The 16-year old was taken to the Juvenile Detention Unit where he was charged with two counts of assault. The two brothers were released to the care of their mother. A motive is unknown.
