Crime Stoppers Report

Police need your help tracking down two thieves caught on tape stealing from a pawn shop.  You might be surprised to find out how hard they worked, for such little return

Chris Johnson, owner of Quick Cash Pawn Shop on Rossville Boulevard says, "Ten dollars means a lot to people right now , more so than 2 years ago."

Johnson has been in the pawn business for years. He says people seem more desperate now than they have in a decade.

Johnson adds, "They worked really hard at it and it took them a while to do it."

He's talking about a pair of thieves.   They hit Quick Cash Pawn Shop earlier this month.  It was all caught on surveillance tape.

Johnson says, " I think they knew the camera was there, they tried to stay hid and keep their face hid the whole time."

Chattanooga Police Sgt. Steve Baker says, "They made some quick cash and don't see them working, though they worked hard to get this out, thieves don't work."

Investigators say these thieves cut the fence in two spots, moved a car from an adjacent lot, and took off with a utility trailer.

Sgt. Baker says, "Someone out there knows who took it and that's what we're looking for."

Police are looking for two white males who've probably been trying to unload a trailer.  If you have information, call Crimestoppers at 698-3333.  No one will know you called and it could be up to 1000 bucks in your pocket.
