CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Police say a worker at a Chattanooga doctor's office stole a prescription pad and used it to get prescriptions of pain killers.

 Investigators with the Chattanooga Police Narcotics Division say since January they have been investigating Ellora Spears.  She was suspected of stealing the pad from her employer and using it to obtained prescriptions of Vicoprofen which is a combination of Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen.

 On April 14, Spears was arrested and charged with seven counts of Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud by CPD Narcotics Investigators.  The 12th Judicial Task Force and the Inspector General's Office also placed numerous charges on Spears, including Tenn-Care Fraud.  The case will be heard in State Court.
