Chattanooga Woman Robbed in Brainerd Parking Lot

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) --  Police search for the man who held up a woman at knife point.

The robbery happened early Monday morning in the Brainerd Road parking lot of the Chattanooga Food and Drink night club. The victim says she was approached by a black male who asked for a cigarette light. When she handed him the lighter, he pulled a knife, put it to her throat and demanded money. Although she handed him the $10 in her hand, he went through her pockets and got the rest of her money.

 The victim's sister saw the robbery and ran to get help. Security at the nightclub tried to stop the suspect but he drove away. Hughes was not hurt.

Police are looking for a black male, described to be:

  • between 25-35 years old
  • 5'03-5'05 tall
  • 230-250 lbs
  • medium brown skinned
  • short afro
  • full beard but short in length
  • wearing a black ball cap
  • polo style shirt with blue, white, and yellow horizontal stripes
  • dark jean shorts
  • black shoes
  • armed with a large butcher knife

He was last seen driving an early 2000 style dark green Dodge Neon sedan, 4-door, with a baseball size hole near the side view mirror of the front windshield.

 Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department.
